The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, December 22 reveals Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will decide to make a clean break from Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get maudlin. Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will provide a shoulder for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to lean on. And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will have an update for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Y&R spoilers tease Claire will pay her grandfather a visit. He’ll ask her about Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and say he’s a man of ill repute. “Who I see or don’t see is my business and no one else’s,” Claire will reply.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Claire Tells Him Jack Is A Good And Decent Man
But Victor will say she’d be making a mistake if she continues a relationship with Holden. “If it helps you sleep easier, I’m not seriously involved with Holden,” she’ll say. Then she’ll make a pitch for the Abbott, saying Jack is a good and decent man.
“He’s a manipulative son of a bitch,” Victor will reply. He’ll ask if she’s already chosen sides but Claire will say she came there to hear his side. Victor will say Jack was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had everything handed to him.
He’ll add he’s glad Claire’s dalliance with Kyle has come to an end and he’ll suggest she stay away from the Abbotts. “Something’s coming down the pike that doesn’t bode well for their family and I don’t want you to be caught in the crossfire.”
At the Abbott estate, Kyle will show Jack a wrapped present for Claire. He bought it before they broke up and isn’t sure if he should give it to her. “I am past frustrated, how many times can I say I’m sorry?” he’ll ask his father. Jack will wonder if he’s giving up on her.
“I don’t know how much longer I can keep holding on, when all it feels like Claire wants to do is let go,” he’ll admit. Jack will say sometimes feelings are there but the conditions aren’t to make love last. “Maybe a clean break is what’s best for both of us,” Kyle will admit.
Then Billy will arrive and tell them Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) wants ownership of Marchetti signed over to her daughter. Jack will say he’d do it in a heartbeat if he believed Phyllis was actually going to help them. Then he’ll get a text from Nikki, asking to meet, and he’ll head out.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor’s Constant Attacks Have To Stop
At Society, Nikki will tell Victoria she took a stand with Victor. “I threatened to leave him.” Victoria will be shocked. Nikki will say Victor was livid. “He told me if I wanted to walk out, the door was open.” Victoria will ask Nikki if she regrets taking such a strong stance and wants to take it back.
“No, I am not going to take back what I said,” Nikki will tell her daughter. She’ll add Victor’s hell bent on destroying Jabot. “Jack risked his own life to save mine and it worked.” Nikki will say because she didn’t put her foot down soon enough, the Abbott family could lose everything.
But Victoria will remind her mother she’s the center of Victor’s universe and he loves her deeply. “Maybe it’s time he feels the sting of losing something that’s important to him,” Nikki will reply. “Maybe then he’ll realize what he’s done.”
Victoria will leave, to meet Claire, and Jack will show up. Nikki will say she drew a line in the sand with Victor. “I told him if he didn’t give me the program, I would leave him,” she’ll tell him. Jack will be taken aback. “You would do that to protect me?” he’ll reply.
Jack will add that he’s touched, but it still might not be enough to get Victor to back down. Nikki will say she made it clear to her husband that she’s dead serious about it. “His constant attacks against you have to stop, for good this time.”
Finally, Victor will pour himself a drink and flash back to Jack and Nikki’s night of debauchery. Then he’ll recall Nikki threatening to leave him. But will his wife’s ultimatum have any effect on him? Will he decide to end his war with Jack?
